The Senior Service Award Application is due to the National Office by November 1st. Please scroll through the document to see what information you will need before starting the application process. You may wish to refer to your resume when completing the application. Please be prepared to write in a three (3) paragraph personal summary.
You will need to also submit a quality photo that is also due by November 1st. This form is located in the Senior Service Award Information page under Resources for Senior Service Award Applicants.
A required Recommendation Form completed by an alumna advisor of your Chapter/Emerging Chapter Advisory Board is due by November 30th. If no Advisory Board exists, a Recommendation Form is required from your Conference Lead, the Emerging Chapters Lead or an alumna National Officer. Applications without a Recommendation Form will not be considered. The Recommendation Form is required to be submitted electronically directly by the person you choose. This form is located in the Senior Service Award Information (http://www.thetaphialpha.org/SeniorServiceAwardInfo) page under the Resources for Chapter/Emerging Chapter Advisors.
A confirmation email will be sent after you submit your application. This confirmation email will also be sent to your Chapter/Emerging Chapter Advisor and to the alumnae advisor on your Advisory Board who you ask to complete the Recommendation Form at the email addresses you list on this application. Please follow up with both to make sure they received a copy of your application.
Alumnae members of the Advisory Board will vote as a majority to nominate up to two candidates per chapter/emerging chapter. No more than one recipient per chapter may be selected each year by the Board of Trustees.
Please note that seniors who elect alumna status at any point in time before graduating are ineligible for the Senior Service Award. In some cases a sister who has chosen to elect special status may still be eligible to apply for the Senior Service Award. Please talk to your Chapter/Emerging Chapter Advisor or the National Office if this pertains to you.
