Dear Theta Phi Alphas,
Happy Founding Day! On August 30, 1912, our founders brought our beloved Theta Phi Alpha to life. I wonder if they thought Theta Phi Alpha would still be celebrating this day 114 years later. I am so thankful to Amelia, May, Otilia, Helen, Katrina, Camilla, Eva, Dorothy, Selma, and Mildred for founding Theta Phi Alpha and for setting our course through Justice, Friendship, and Truth.
Please join me in honoring our Founders on August 30 in one of the following ways:
- Wear your Theta Phi Alpha badge.
- Post a picture of yourself wearing your badge with the I am a Sorority Woman graphic.
- Reach out to a sister you haven’t recently spoken with and reminisce about your shared Theta Phi Alpha memories.
- Post on social media on August 30 about Theta Phi Alpha’s Founding Day, and share Theta Phi Alpha and sorority membership’s impact on your life.
- Host a chapter or alumnae event or gathering where Theta Phi Alphas come together and reflect on our history.
- Perform the Founders’ Day Ritual.
- Have a moment of silence to reflect on our Founders and their impact on Theta Phi Alpha.
- Donate time, money, or items to an organization that exemplifies our philanthropy addressing Hunger and Homelessness.
- Contact your Theta Phi Alpha mentor and thank them for all they have done for you.
- Celebrate Theta Phi Alpha’s birthday with a birthday party!
- Make a toast to our Founders and the continued success of the Fraternity.
- Verify your information in Theta Phi Alpha’s member portal at my.thetaphialpha.org.
- Donate $10 to the Theta Phi Alpha Foundation in honor of our ten Founders.
